Beauty review: MAC Shadestick in Penny

Note: this review has been previously published here

For those who aren’t sure what shadestick is, it’s enough to say it’s more like a creamy eyeshadow but instead of a jar, it comes as a stick eyeshadow. It’s like an automatic eye liner, but quite thicker. Texture of these eyeshadows is creamy, lightly silky and you can use them as an eyeshadow base, not only as an eyeshadow alone. My review is about shadestick in Penny though this product is availble in few different shades.

The thing I like about Penny is it’s totally unnoticeable which makes it  more like an eyeshadow base than an eyeshadow. I use it as a base for every eyeshadow cause it makes my eyeshadows last even more and the color is much more intense than without it.

MAC Shadestick has only 1.5 g which is really too small amount for $16.50. But, on the other hand, it’s not that fast spendable which is a plus. I do use it often and I still have plenty of it cause when applied it’s not necessary for you to rub it hard. It leaves enough color just by swapping it over the eye lid. In Europe this product is more expensive – it costs €18.50 which is *really* expensive so I suggest you to get it from someone in the U.S. Even with postage costs it’s cheaper, lol.

I also recommend you to get it off MACs official website, not off eBay cause you never know what can you get there. People sale fakes and perhaps don’t even know that (at least they claim so). Also, I took a picture of Catrice Soft Eyeshadow Mono Velvet Matt in Dark Lilac over Penny so you can compare these photos with photos from my review of that eyeshadow here.
