Stars Makeup Haven Eyeshadow- Smoke and Mirrors, Metro
I purchased these eyeshadows in January and you could see them here, but I still haven’t wrote a review about them. don’t know why it took me so long, but finally managed to write a review.
Stars Makeup Haven Eyeshadows are available in 97 different shades (!), and you can check out all of them here. Since the photos aren’t always accurate, lucky for you and me, Karla Sugar swatched all shades and you can see them on her blog – link. And that’s actually how I decided which colors I want to purchase, but I also have to admit that I like few more colors: Ultra Violet, Charisma, Primal, Teal Tuesday, Plum Crazy and Walkin’ After Midnight.
Smoke and Mirrors – is a truly dark smokey grey shade, perfect for a perfect smokey look.
Metro – is dark silvery shade which is perfect in combination with Smoke and Mirrors shade and as a base for that smokey look.
Both shades are so pigmented without any eyeshadow base, they’re applied and blended easily and lasted for about 6 hours on me without creasing or showing any wear. The texture is soft on touch, there is a small amount of fall out, but really small amount. These eye shadows come only in pan so you’ll need an empty eyeshadow palette for them. I currently have MAC and e.l.f. palettes for 4 eye shadows. You’ll also need magnet to keep the pans without falling out of the palette.
Their price is $4.95 which really isn’t too much, especially when you consider their quality. Each eye shadow has 1,3 g (0.04 oz) amount of product and that’s really plenty. For reference, MAC eye shadows have 1,5 g (0.05 oz) and they are more expensive than SMH eye shadows.
Cons: not related to the eye shadows (I already said those are GREAT!), but their customer servise really isn’t something. Tried to contact them, sent them 2 e-mails and they didn’t bother to reply on either of them. I hate that.
Please check out more photos and swatches!
