At the same time when I received products from Misslyn Blue Notes collection I also received these nail products:
- nail polishes – 09 snow-white, 510 black beauty
– crackling top coat – 701 crackling black, 702 crackling white
– nail designs – 02 get wild, 06 brit chic, 10 stars&stripes
– Siegel lack – this isn’t a top coat, it’s more like a sealant or something like that

All products, except for nail designs (not sure about them) retail for approx. $7.

I’ve never tried any nail designs before but I do plan to do it now since I like few designs I’ve received like 02 get wild so, I’ll see if this will work for me. :D Since you get 15 stickers I’ll have to be careful with messing up because I have only 5 extra stickers.

When it comes to crackle trend, I have to admit I’m not a fan of it but I’ve been using crackle with some crafts I made like decoupage so I know how it works. Anyway, I will try this combination on the photo below to see if I’ll keep to my previous opinion or I’ll actually start to like it. :)

Yesterday I received Misslyn Color Alarm Collection* and since Summer is almost over and new collection will be arriving (maybe it even did arrive already) I wanted to post my photos and swatches asap in case you can still find this collection on counters (I don’t know where is this brand available in Europe, but in Croatia it’s available in Muller drugstores).

Misslyn is a new brand here, arrived few weeks ago. I’ve been browsing their products and I would compare their prices with Manhattan Cosmetics. They’re in that price range. If you want to check their product range and see shades, please check their official website.

Color Alarm collection is a typical summery collection with lovely vivid colors. This collection includes several shades of lipsticks, lip liners, eye liners, eye shadows, nail polishes and lip glosses. Here’s the collection:

Nail polish

Available in 4 shades:

• 328 naughty pink
• 557 lemon green
• 674 post it
• 593 perfect wave

328, 557, 674, 593

Formula is a bit thicker so it might leave strikes as it does a bit with shade 674. shade 593 perfect wave has the best formula, and my personal favorite is shade 557 lemon grass. Gorgeous shade!

Nail polishes contain 10 ml and retail for 37,90 kuna ($7,5 / 5,19€).

Rich color gloss

Available in 2 shades:

• 35 red poppy
• 61 shocking pink

The packaging reminds me of Artdeco lip glosses. I like how it looks – simple and solid. The thing that’s excellent with these lip glosses is that you get what you see meaning – the color you see in the tube is the color you get on your lips! No wonder they’re called rich color gloss.

Here are my swatches! And this is only one swipe with brush! 61 shocking pink is my favorite shade since it’s more suitable for me.

Lipstick

Available in 3 shades:

• 85 miami kiss
• 188 new york nights
• 201 london calling

Personally I like all three shades though my favorite one is 201 london calling. Their formula is light but they are well pigmented. Unfortunately, I haven’t swatched them on my lips, but I will do that too so you could see how great they look on lips. :)

Shade 85 miami kiss looks a bit fluorescent in the packaging but when swatched it foesn’t look like that, it’s just a bit vividly shade. Lovely orangey-reddish shade. 188 new york nights is a lovely modest pink shade. 201 london calling, my favorite shade, is a gorgeous berry shade. Reminds me of Maybelline Atomic Pink Lipstick.

Lipsticks retail for 53,90 kuna ($10,50 / 7,38€) and they contain 4 grams.

Smooth lip liner

Available in 2 shades:

• 81 pink panther
  
• 36 hot chili pepper
  

These lip liners are also well pigmented, the formula is on the soft side but they’re not too soft. Just how they should be. I don’t have more to say about them but I’d add that the lip liners are suitable for lipsticks in shade 85 and 188.

Their retail price is 22,90 kuna ($4,5 / 3,10€) , they contain 0,78 grams.

Intense color liner

Also available in 2 shades:

• 240 sun flower
• 125 grass hopper

They’re also well pigmented and I also think they could be used as base color or all over the lid as eyeshadow since they’re not greasy. Will have to test that.

240, 125

125 grass hopper seems like more pigmented shade but these two have different finish so that also might be a part of the difference. Shade 240 is almost kinda metallic one, while 125 grass hopper is ‘ordinary’.

Their retail price is 22,90 kuna ($4,5 / 3,10€) , they contain 0,78 grams.

High Eye Shadow

If I had to pick a product which lacked in performance I’d pick this product. Not that these eye shadows are bad or anything, but I did expect more pigmentation since ther products are really highly pigmented so I was kinda let down with these. Their formula is nice and silky, soft and maybe a bit too soft so you can expect some fall out, but other than that – they’re okay, but I’d like to see more color.

High shine duo eyeshadow is available in 2 shades:

• 124 crazy butterfly
• 228 lime time

124, 228 (no base)

Between these two 228 lime crime is more pigmented than 124 crazy butterfly. Also, I prefer that combination of colors over purple-blue combination. That just doesn’t work for me.

Their retail price is 44,90 kuna ($9 / 6,15€) and they contain 1,5 grams.

High shine trio eyeshadow is also available in 2 shades:

• 52 palm beach
• 91 paradise pleasure

Both shades are equaly pigmented though, as I mentioned, I’d like to see more intense colors. I’ll create a make up look with these to show you how they look on me. :)

The bottom line is…

… excellent collection, perfect summery shades. And though the summer is almost over, it doesn’t mean you can’t wear these shades. I love to wear vivid shades during fall/winter, which means I will be using some of these products pretty often. :)

Golden Rose decorative cosmetics has been around for a long time. This Turkish brand with budget friendly prices and high quality products stands right next to other cosmetics companies and for a while it’s been available in Croatia.
I’ve been using Golden Rose products for a long time and I have only nice things to say about this brand.
I’d like to show you 2 nail polishes which completely got my love and which I recommend to you.

Paris Nail Lacquer in 54

My favorite shade is 54. I recieved it as a gift at the market in Zemun. :D
It’s a rich purple color which is taking care for your nails and it looks stunning at the same time. It looks high quality and well, it really is. You need only one coat to get opaque shade since it’s highly pigmented, but I like to apply 2 coats because I love it! Brush is perfect, at least to me. It has satisfying hair length and density. This color lasts on my days for a few days, in all conditions. I have it longer than a year now and it’s still the same – didn’t get thicker or anything like that.
These nail polishes come in 80+ colors so I’m sure everyone can find something for them.

Care+Strong lak za nokte

Pearly white shade which has that necessary elegancy. I believe all of us have a shade like this one or something similar. I chose this color because it’s elegant, always popular among all generations. Somehow it’s timeless…
As the name suggests, it has a special formula which improves lasting power, color and nails. It dries quickly.
I wore it many times and it really works like that. :) I used to wear it as protection on my nails against any issues I had and it worked too.
Care+Strong nail polishes come in 78 shades with pearl, metallic, shimmery finishes – something for everyone!

Upcoming Fall is bringing, beside refreshment, many trendy and playful colors which will definitely make blue days better.
Essence is launching (has launched) 28 new colour&go nail polishes and I’m sure that everyone will manage to find something for themself! 

Why do I like colour&go nail polishes?
Because they have intense and playful colors. Sometimes you need only one coat to get full color, cause of the thicker formula. They’re good in terms of wuality and long lasting too.
Price – only $2.20 (Muller dugstore). You can get them for less than $2 when there are sales.
I chose three shades this time: 43 where is the party?, 55 let’s get lost and 38 choose me!

Where is the party? (43)

When I laid my eyes on this shade, I knew it has to be mine! I just loved that undefined duochrome color with tiny shimmer. It looks like purple, green and grey colors got united! It reminds me of spilled gas, the way it gleams on the road. :)
In natural daylight shimmery purple is more visible, while in artifical daylight that dusty greens shade with grey is more obvious. The color is really amazing and is applied easily with great brush. You need only one coat, but to get the full effect 2 coats are perfect.

Let’s get lost! (55)

Gorgeous blue color. It’s well pigmented so it’s necessary to apply only one coat to achive desired effect. It quite well lasting – around two days, considering you’re doing all that housework from washing dishes to something more complicated.

Choose me! (38)

Gorgeous turquoise-blueish-greenish color enriched with golden, green and silver shimmer. It reminds me of the sea and Christmas at the same time. It looks quite a lot like OPI catch me in your net and Nails.Inc in fitzroy square. It’s easily applied, the brush is the way it’s suposed to be – not too soft, not too firm and you do need to apply 2 coats to get opaque color. Dries quickly and it’s quite lasting on my nails.

My perfect grey shade of nail polish! 
I purchased it recently, when my local drugstore BIPA had 30% sale on makeup so I grabbed another So Laque! nail polish since their retail price is a bit high (almost $10!).

I applied 2 coats here and that’s what it takes to get that nice, opaque color on nails. I love the brush too – not too big, nor too small. Just as it should be.

Oh yes, this will be my to-go shade for this Fall! And I have to admit – I can’t wait for this Summer to be over! I’m so tired of this hot weather! It’s just too damn hot out there! How about you?

My last two photos aren’t really perfect, don’t know what happened here but didn’t have time to shoot them again. And I’d say that this shade is a tiny bit darker than it is on my swatches :)

Remember this collection? This is one of my favorite fall nail polish collections this year but I did pick only two shades – Urban-Night and Trendsetter – because lately I’ve been all over nail polishes and have to figure out how to stop buying more of them! But the thing is – I can’t resist once I see some pretty colors! :D

I wanted to get Concrete Catwalk myself but glad I didn’t because the other day at my local drugstore BIPA I got a beautiful Bourjois So Laque! nail polish in  37 Bleu asphalte. But you’ll still get to see swatches of Concrete Catwalk since my friend got it. :)

I think all these 4 shades are perfect fall shades. All besides Trendsetter have cream finish (my favorite finish) while Trendsetter has this shimmer in it.

Urban-Night is definitely my favorite color and I can’t believe I don’t have any similar shade already! Perfect pure purple shade. I think this will be on my nails for the most of this Fall!

Trendsetter is an interesting shade, something I probably wouldn’t have picked myself if I didn’t see it when another friend of mine got it so I figured I must have it since I don’t own any similar shade at all! I think it will look great!

Concrete Catwalk is a lovely grey shade, but Bourjois is prettier to me and I’ll post swatch of it soon. The main difference is – Bourjois have more blue in it than Concrete Catwalk does.

Westside Warrior is a true green warrior shade (army green). It’s very pretty dusty green color. Love it! I’m sorry now that I didn’t get it but I’ll try to borrow it from my friend from time to time, haha :D

Okay, enough talking, let’s get to swatches!

All photos were taken in natural daylight, the last one was taken in direct sunlight which is obvious I think. All nail polishes were swatched in the same order as mentioned on my 1st photo. I used 2 coats for each color.

Yesterday I remembered that I completely forgot about my essence shopping so I’m showing it to you now. I got three essence colour&go nail polishes and I have to say they have some very pretty shades!

Indoor these shades look kinda ordinary. but outside in direct sunlight, they look lovely!
