Beauty review: Revlon A Floral Affair Peachy Keen Blush

This blush really surprised me after testing it. Though it looks quite dark in the packaging (at least it’s dark for my skin tone), it’s actually a completely different shade on my skin which I really loved! I also like to use it during summer time because it emphasizes my tanned skin. :) Btw. this is LE, but can be found on eBay. :)

The packaging is solid, square, see-through and plastic. The shade in the packaging is mostly bronze but it has a lighter part which I use a highlighter above the main color. The blush isn’t *so* pigmented though it looks like it is, but I have to go over it with my brush 2-3 times to apply it. I don’t mind that. I’ll rather repeat my application instead of having a dark flake in the middle of my cheek. :D This blush is really shimmery and if you’re not into shimmery stuff you should definitely skip it, but I like shiny stuff on my cheeks so it’s perfect for me! When it comes to lasting power, it has a decent lasting power, but on the other hand, – all blushes last enough on me so perhaps I’m not the right person for deciding this. The only thing I didn’t like about it is the smell of it – it’s a bit weird but not too strong so I guess it makes it fine.

I don’t remember how much was it when I purchased it, but I think you can still find it on eBay for few $. It contains 8 g, which is a huge amount for a blush so I suppose it will last me a long time. Anyway, if you want to bring out your tanned skin even more – this is a perfect way for it! :)

Beauty review: Schwarzkopf Taft 10 karat shine hairspray

Since my hair is thin, silky and breezy, I have to use hairsprays, hair gels if I want to have a hair style that looks somewhat normal. So, not so long ago, I tried this hairspray, and OMG, but such a waste of money! This product is just awful! Instead of having steady and wonderful hair style, I ended up with incredibly sticky hair which was just nasty looking and felt nasty under my fingers as well!   Also, the smell of it is really questionable – it stinks.

Anyway, don’t want to talk too much about this product because there’s really not much to say, but if you’re also using hairsprays, please skip this one. It’s just – yuck!

Beauty review: Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light-Diffusing Perfecting Primer

Thanks to my dear friend A., recently I tested this makeup base and here is what I think of it. :) Generally speaking, I love Guerlain products and the are my #1 when it comes to awesome packaging, and if I could afford, I’d be all over this brand, not just because of the great design, but because of the high quality this brand offers. I hope I’ll be able to get some stuff from them in the future. But, let’s get back to the makeup base!

As I already mentioned, Guerlain design is amazing, and this makeup base isn’t any different – this product comes in a fancy glassy bottle with a pump which is, first of all, hygienic and secondly, it’s easier for use comparing it to a jar. One pump is enough for the whole face. The bottle contains some kind of pearls which at first look decorative and you could easily be mistaken :D The formula of this base is nice, light, lightly pinkish in color with teeny tiny particles in it. It absorbs quickly and though I haven’t noticed that my skin is any smoother, it feels nice under my fingers and my foundation seattles  well above it and lasts for quite some time. The scent of this base is mild and nice. Remindes me of a body lotion or something like that. :D

Though this product is fantastic and I really liked it, the price is just less fantastic. :D I’m not sure about the price here in Croatia, but I’ve seen that it is sold for $68.00 for 30 ml (1 fl.oz.) on Sephora.com, which is, A LOT! But, that’s the problem with every single Gurlain product – the design and quality gets you, but then the price is really a huge turn off. The amount of it is okay, typical for face primers, and I think it should last some longer time, but still, the price is just a bit steep. I could get Shiseido Smoothing Veil makeup base, which is my THE makeup base, for less money and still get the same amount.

To make the long story short – if you’re into luxurious products with good quality, you might find what you need in this product. But still, try it prior buying it. And well, though I’m satisfied with this product, it won’t get 5/5 just because of the price. But if it weren’t for that – it would be 5/5!

Beauty review: mama mio OMega Body Oil

mama mio skincare omega body oil

Mama Mio Skincare is now also available in Croatia and I’ve been testing their OMega Body Oil the last 7 days. They have a nice  product selection which includes daily skincare, cellulite & firming skincare, pregnancy skincare, losing weight skincare and more. You can check all the details you need about their products on their official website – mamamio.com.

As I said, I’ve been using their OMega Body Oil (for all skin types) for the last 7 days and I can say I really like this product.  The packaging is really simple, ti comes with a pump which is great since there is no mess while applying it. The scent of this oil is quite mild and I can’t say I can smell it after application, but more important thing than the scent is the fact that it absorbs quickly i doesn’t leave any greasy stains! It really amazes me how different it is from an ordinary body lotion – the skin is in both cases really soft, but with this oil it is soft in a different way which I can’t explain by using words, and the skin remains that way for hours! Applying it is also very simple – to shower-damp skin!

When it comes to the ingredients, this product contains many good ingredients: sweet almond oil (rich in omega 3, 6 and 9; highly moisturising and nourishing), jojoba seed oil (closest oil to skin’s own sebum, rich in omega 3, helpful in healing and protects against aging), argan oil (nourishes, moisturizes and improves skin elasticity), safflower seed oil (very rich in omega 6, super-moisturising), vitamin E. IMPORTANT: Mama Mio products DO NOT contain paraben, colourant, petrolatum, phthalates, sodium lauryl and laureth sulphate, synthetic fragrance and xenoestrogen!

The regular price of OMega Body Oil is £22.50 / €27.00 which may seem a bit too much but it contains 200 ml (6.8 fl.oz.) and beside that, I think it will last for a quite long time because each use need only small amount if it to cover the whole body.

If your skin is dry or if you just want to moisturize your skin, you should check out this body oil because it really does what it is supposed to!

Beauty review: Herbal Essences Balsam for Normal Hair

Though I don’t really use hair conditioners, or if I do it’s quite rare especially since I cut my hair, but recently I got Herbal Essences hair conditioner for normal hair with chamomile, aloe vera and passion flower which soon became my favorite hair conditioner and the best I’ve EVER tried! My hair smells so nicely after each use, and even the next day! Also, my hair SO soft! I just love that feeling! And I don’t really know what smell is that exactly but it’s wonderful! :) The formula is a bit thicker and you need really small amount for each use, especially I do since I have short hair.

I don’t know what is the price of it since it was a gift, but I don’t think these are expensive and one bottle contains 250 ml! I don’t even know if this particular conditioner line is available here, but if you’re traveling abroad, be sure to check it out!

Beauty review: Palmolive Naturals Shower Milk

palmolive naturals shower milk

When it comes to bath products, I like to change them often because after some time I get annoyed if I’m using the same product for too long. But, Palmolive Naturals bath products are probably those which I’ve purchased the most in the past. My reasons for that are quite simple: their formula is nice, my skin is *really* soft, I like their scents and they’re budget friendly.  On the photo above you can’t see my favorite shower milk from their line (almond shower milk) but I’ll make a separate post on that one. :)

I’m not sure about their price because I got them on sale recently (2 for 1, something like that), but I think their regular price is approx. $2.50 for 250 ml, which is probably the average price for a shower milk.

Have you already tried them? Which is your favorite one?

Beauty review: NYX Single Eyeshadow – Atlantic, Yellow, Sensual, Cryptonite

nyx single eyeshadowAtlantic, Yellow, Sensual, Cryptonite

Somehow I always seem to forget to write a review about these eyeshadows, and here it is finally! It was about time! :D

NYX Single Eyeshadow are available in 160 different shades (!) and you can check them out on their official website  here. I’ve tried only these 4 so far, bu I know it’s not the end – there are so many colors waiting for me! NYX is one of those brands that really gets me with their product quality and budget friendly prices and, to be honest, I can only say good things about NYX. :) Anyway, let’s get back to Single Eyeshadows! They have a simple black plastic packaging, kinda cheap looking, but solid.

#93 Atlantic – according to their official site, this eyeshadow should be matte and perhaps it looks matte in the photos, but when I look at it in the packaging it looks like it has frost finish. It’s pigmented, but gives much better result with an eyeshadow primer. Also, it looks a bit different in person than on this swatch – it’s more darker and less electric. :)

#43 Yellow – this is a matte yellow shade, it’s not that much pigmented but looks good with an eyeshadow primer. It also has super soft texture which I love!

#78A Sensual – this is a black cherry shade with tiny golden glitter in it; it is soft and pigmented.

#63A Cryptonite – dark silver with silver glitter; I’d love it to be more pigmented, but I am satisfied – I love the glitter and how it looks when applied!

The regular price of these eyeshadows is $5.50, but you can find them for less. Each eyeshadow contains 2,7 g amount of the product so that’s quite a lot. :) Anyway, if you’re interested in different shades, pigmented eyeshadows – perhaps you should try these! :)

Beauty review: Caress Whipped Souffle Blackberry Cream Ultra Silkening Body Wash

Lately I’ve been testing Caress Whipped Souffle Blackberry Cream and here is what they say about it: Caress® whipped body washes let women indulge in supremely soft, silky skin and offer the highest level of moisturization from the Caress collection. The ultra-light, yet creamy formula – with silky fragrance infusion – is a blend of indulgent moisturizers and exquisite fragrances that are whipped together with intense pressure at sonic speeds. Choose from tempting whipped Blackberry and Vanilla or whipped White Peach with a blend of Silk Blossom featuring fragrances developed by experts at fine fragrance house, Givaudan.

I really like this product and its formula does remind me of  souffle because it is creamy, light and makes skin feel so soft and nice. And it really is quite different from other body wash products I’ve been able to try here in Croatia (and I’ve tried a lot of them since I like to have at least 5 different body wash products open for daily use). After a couple of days my skin feels moisturized and I didn’t feel the need to use body lotion after a shower and I like that, not only because I like when my skin is moisturized, but also because I often find myself to be too lazy for something extra after I take a shower (sorry!). :D I really love the smell of it, the combination of blackberry and vanilla and I don’t find it to be too intense which is great because I don’t like too strong scents in such type of products, but it is also useful when I want to use a body lotion so the 2 different scents don’t get mixed up. :)

I don’t know how much this product costs since I haven’t purchased it, but I know that the recommended price is  $4.50 which doesn’t seems much considering it is also HUGE – 15 fl.oz. (443 ml). :D If you want to know more about Caress and their products be sure to check their official website – link. Availability: food, drug and mass retailers nationwide.

Beauty review: essence sun club all over shimmer for eyes, face & body

essence sun club all over shimmer for eyes, face & body#01 ibiza sun shade

Essence Sun Club product line is separate permanent product line for summer period and tanned skin. :) One of those products is this all over shimmer which is available in 2 different shades: lighter and darker shade. I also tried sun club lipgloss but will review that later.

Since my skin is lighter, I have the lighter shade called ‘blondes – lighter skin’ and when my skin gets some tan I find this product to be perfect during summer time! The thing that really gets me about this product is how highly pigmented it is but it can be applied softly so it looks natural and not dirty. I think the most used tripe out of these five is the lighter one which I find perfect to be used as a highlighter, and of course, I apply it with my fingers since blush brush isn’t going to work for only one stripe.  The packaging is really nice, non-typical essence packaging because it’s so solid which surprises me, but I have to say that essence improved their packaging lately.  This shimmer is long-lasting, especially if we consider HOT summer weather! I use this shimmer alone and over another blush to get different look. :)

I don’t remember how much this shimmer cost, but I think it is approx. $4-$5 which really isn’t much for such product and since it is also wuite large – it contains 8 g. Anyway, this product is really nice, cheap so I think it’s worth considering if you’re looking for an all over shimmer. :)
