I’ve been preparing myself to write this post in a while now but I keep asking myself one question – how do you fit 3 years of blogging into one post? Well, not easy.

This year was quite a mess and one part of me is happy that it’s almost over, but the other part is a bit sad since everything just passed me by so quickly. This year was full of changes, for me and for this blog. As the end of the year was closer and closer I realized I have to move and and put Beauty addict behind me. I didn’t really had an idea what I actually wanted to do but I started to collaborate with Martina from Martina makeup and we made a deal: we’ll start with our own website from scratch. It’s called Beauty & Mess. It isn’t available yet but it will be launched in January. Till then, you can like our facebook page – link.

It will be strange to stop posting here but on the other hand, that is something I feel I need to do and that I need this change. I just know it will be even better than this blog and that together with Martina we’ll rock! :)

All in all, you will read my posts in the future but on another adress. This isn’t my last post here, the last one will be the moment we launch Beauty&Mess; then I’ll inform you that you can follow us there. Till then I’ll take a break for now since I have a lot to prepare for our new website and I wan’t to relax a bit too.

Martina purchased Clarins Odyssey palette (Holiday collection) and I found this palette to be really eye-catching the moment I saw it. I really wanted to buy it, especially since it has this gorgeous almost old gold shade. But, I somehow managed to reason with myself that I don’t need this palette because of one shade only :D Anyway, I tried to find a decent dupe shade which isn’t possible but I did find another wonderful golden shade among Catrice mono eye shadows so here it is, you might find it useful during this time of the year :)

This shade is called Talk Like An Egyptian (I don’t like this name at all but what can you do :D ) and it does look wonderful – in the pan and when swatched! This isn’t an intense gold shade but rather one with a bit of this old gold hint in it which I really love. You can see my swatch abelow and it was apply without any base. Lovely, right? The formula is quite smooth and I love how it applies.

In case you prefer more intense gold shades I have something for you too, it’s called Kryolan Supracolor and you can see my swatch HERE.

A while ago I’ve received Mythic Oil Colour Glow Oil for review. This product is from their new product line called Mythic Oil and beside this oil it includes:
- Mythic Oil Nourishing oil for all hair types
- Mythic Oil rich oil
- Mythic Oil reinforcing milk

My hair care is, to be honest, the same for years and I use 4 products most of the time: shampoo, conditioner, hair foam and hair spray :D True, not really innovative or anything because, first, I’m lazy and second, I don’t finde hair products to be so interesting as makeup for example.

Here’s what L’Oreal is saying about this product:
Linseed Oil: used by painters in ancient Persia to enhance the shine of their masterpiece, this illuminating oil adds mirror-like reflection to color-treated hair.
Cranberry Oil: this nourishing oil filled with antioxidants helps protect haircolor from fading by shielding the strand from environmental aggressors like the sun.
UV Filters: protects hair from the harmful rays of the sun to keep haircolor looking vibrant.

During my testing period I’ve seen that this product really makes a difference when it comes to radiance. Hair is shiny and yet not oily, though this product has an oily formula. And that’s what I was afraid of but it turned out it was only my fear of having oily hair :D It can be used on wet or dry hair, however you like it. I use it ony dry hair since I always forget to use it on wet hair. It can also be used in combination with hair mask – just add two drops in it and apply it onto hair and leave it on for a few minutes. I haven’t tried that yet, but I will. Anyway, after each use hair is really glowing (not that oily glow :D ). Besides that, the other thing that really impressed me is the gorgeous scent of this product! I must say that I’d LOVE if there was a food product with such smell or taste. I’d buy it ALL! :D

This product contains 125 ml of product and it costs almost $40. I might seem a lot but this is a professional hair product so it’s a decent price. Plus, you don’t need a large amount of it for each use (you need 1-2 squeezes) so it will last for you, especially if you have shorter hair like I do.

Also, one thing that I discovered by accedent. I don’t smoke and I really can’t stand the smell of cigarettes so one day when I got home I tryed this oil to see if it would “kill” cigarette smell and well, it did do that! So, this is a HUGE plus from me!

Orly Rock it is part of the Orly Mineral FX collection that is packed with duochrome lacquers, full of metallic shimmer, holo particles and the warm, dusky golden  tones.
Rock it is a duochrome nail, burgundy base with the addition of purple, full of red and copper mircoshimmer that is visible only in the sun, so this might not be the ideal time for wearing. But I think that even without the duochrome effect, perfect for the holidays.

Catrice

You all now how much I love Catrice eye shadows and here are 4 new shades I got! I was thinking of getting a quattro palette but decided not to, at least for now :D I already took all photos and swatches which I’ll be posting in my upcoming posts!

Kanebo Sensai

On Monday I was attending an event which ITgirl.hr organized in collaboration with Kanebo Croatia. It was suposed to be a skincare workshop (it wasn’t actually but more about it a bit later) and at the end we all received a gift – a set which contained lip and eye base. Looking forward to trying those products!

Birthday present!

I’m still receiving late birthday presents and here’s what I’ve received from a dear friend: two Anny nail polishes and one Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in shade 07. I was meaning to get that same shade and luckily I’ve received it as a gift! Can’t wait to try and test everything!

Holiday home decor

I’m all into holiday home decor this year (I think it’s for the first time) and I keep buying holiday decor. Two last things I purchased are this lovely small mirror which I plan to put somewhere on the wall and I also got one lantern to complete evening ambience. How do you like it?

A while ago I shared my thoughts with you about Real Techniques Stippling brush (LINK),  and now I’m sharing my review for Expert Face brush which I’ve been using for a while now.

Expert Face brush didn’t actually impress me at first but as soon as I started using it I realised how an excellent brush this is and I love it far more that the RT Stippling brush! I think I fell in love with it because it’s a great multi-use brush which can be used with pretty much every product you can think of. I’ve used it with foundations, blushes and highlighters (powder, compact and creams). I love how it somehow buff the product you’re applying and how it looks so perfectly natural on face.

The quality of the brush handle is excellent. I mentioned in my st post when reviewing Stippling brush that I like a lot how join bwtween the handle and the rest of the brush is at the end of the brush so you don’t have to worry about anything while washing it. I like that it is a bit thicker than Stippling brush and that’s helpful since that way I apply any product faster when compared to applying it with Stippling brush. I had no issues when washing it, no hair fallout or color bleed or anything like that. Hair is synthetic.

If you’re thinking of buying it there are many online web shops that sell it. I goit it from iHerb.com but they don’t accept PayPal. The price of this brush varies – from $10 and above.

Some time ago I was attending an event where I was introduced with the upcominh Misslyn Holiday collection named Future Glam. Since this collection contains many products it took me some time to take photos and to swatch everything!

Here is the whole collection at once! It includes nail polishes, lipsticks, eye shadows, eye liner, cream shimmer and lipgloss!

Future Glam Eyeshadow

I’ll start my post with something that really got my attention this time: their new eye shadows! You know how I always mentioned in my posts that Misslyn eye shadows are the weakest link in their collections? Well, these mono eye shadows are surprisingly good and I love them! Their previous formula was too soft, too much fall out though they were well pigmented. But here we have a new formula: good pigmentation, less fall out (or barely any) and finer but not soft formula!

There are six new shades available in the Future Glam collection: 03 Lifetime Dream, 06 Starlight, 14 Next Generation, 20 Universe, 28 Gravity, 40 Infinity Space. The packaging is firm plastic but I plan to put them in an empty palette because this way they’ll get lost in my beauty boxes :D

My favorite shade is shade 14 Next Generation! I plan to use it as highlighter/blush since it’s SO gorgeous! 

Future Glam Lipstick

I’ve been raving about Misslyn lipsticks since the first time I tried them and though these shades aren’t really my cup of tea, they’re still pigmented and they do look lovely with this shimmer in them. I like the fact that this shimmer is subtle and you can’t actually feel it on lips. My favorite shade is shade 413 All Night because of this red-gold combination which is a true holiday shade!

Future Glam Nail Polish

There are three new shades of nail polish and one lovely top coat! I must say that I would prefer one creamy shades among these since this lovely top coat can be used to give that necessary holiday shimmer. I forgot to take a photo with the top coat and nail polishes so you can see it below my swatches.

There are twp shades available and since these both have transparent base I recommend using them with a base color, perhaps the best choice would be black liner. I also think that their applicator looks the same as that one of Illamasqua’s eyeliners (link).

Future Glam Rich Color Gloss

02 Magical Venus

This lovely lipgloss isn’t something I’d use alone, only as a layer above anothe lipgloss or lipstick. Also, I don’t know why is it called Rich Color Gloss since it has no color at all, only shimmer. And I know that their other Rich Color glosses are pigmented in color so it’s an unusual choice. Anyway, it’s still lovely!

Glow To Go Shimmer Cream

And, the last product in this bunch is shimmer cream. As you can see on my swatch it is pigmented and I believe it can be used everywhere you like it to shine! :D The formula is something like semi-creamy, it applies easily and it absorbs easily leaving only lovely shimmer behind. I applied it heavily so you could see how it looks like that, but it can give you that subtle shimmer as well.

This year L’Occitane launched again their Shea butter LE collection! This time it’s with Fortune Flowers – Date Bouquet, Mango Flower and Rose Petals. I love their products with Shea Butter and this is one of my favorite collections! 

Products included in this colletion are: rich body cream, hand cream and lip balm. I’ve received rich body cream and hand cream Date Bouquet, lip balm Mango Flower.

Shea Butter Date Bouquet Ultra Rich Body Cream (100 ml, £16.00)

This is the first time I’ve tried anything with date bouquete scent and though the scent is a bit unusual at the beginning, it develops really nice on my skin. Rich Body Cream is nourishing for my dry skin during winter time. I like it because it’s rich and yet not greasy. It absorbs pretty quickly for a rich body cream too. It has a nice and smooth formula like butter. And that’s what I like about Shea Butter products – they’re non-greasy, fast absorbing and nourishing.

This might be a bit pricey for 100 ml but since it’s really an excellent product and you do need a small amount of it, I’d sayit’s worth it.

Shea Butter Date Bouquet Hand Cream (30 ml, £8.00)

I always have at least one Shea Butter hand cream in my purse and somewhere around my desk at home since they are my favorite product. Their other hand creams are also nice but these ones are THE creams for my skin. Escpecially now when it’s much colder and my skin is drier. I love how fast it absorbs and how it makes my skin feel soft and smooth and nourished.

Organic Certified Shea Butter Mango Flower Lipblam (15 ml, £8.50)

I admit, I’m not a fan of such lipbalm, but I’d still say that these are the weakest link in this collection. The best thing about it is that it nourishes lips and it does make them soft but it simply has this strange formula and taste which I don’t like and that’s why I don’t use it that often. I’d rather purchase another rich body cream than this lipbalm, to be honest.
