Three months ago I placed an order on e.l.f. UK website with a friend since they had free shipping for orders over 10 GBP so, we ordered 3 products. I got anoter Studio Powder Brush and my friend wanted to order Studio Matte Lip Colour. In the end I got one too. She got Natural and I got Tea Rose. You can see some swatches here.

Now, when I lookback, I could and should be very mad about that order. Turns out that all three products had some kind of defect. For example, my powder brush was “broken” in two pices – as I opened it, the handle just fell off since it wasn’t glued on. Okay, no big deal, but I also noticed that it was much thinner from my previous powder brush so I sent them some photos and told them about the handle so I got refund for that product.

Shortly after that, my friend tells me how her lip colour pencil “stopped working” after only two uses. These are thise kind of twist up jumpo pencils and that got broken so the pencil is unfortunately useless though it’s full! Again, I sent them an e-mail, explained what happened and I got refund. That pacxkaging is so cheap and bad that I’m actually surprised it survived anything. And well, now we got to my jumpo pencil which I haven’t even used, I just took a look at the color once I got it, but that was it. Anway, fean’t get everything back once I twist it which means I can’t close the cap firmly. All in all – I threw my money away.
I haven’t contacted e.l.f. about my lip colour pencil because I’m actually annoyed with all that now, but I won’t be ordering that again. And I’m surprised this packaging is so cheap because their Studio line is actually quite good, especially when compared with their regular line.

All in all, skip this if you don’t like to throw your money around. I’d rather get some drugstore lisptick instead.

Lately I’ve been testing 2 eyeshadow primers, and the 1st one I’m going to write about is e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer. I purchased it one or two months ago when e.l.f. had free shipping, and with it I purchased few other products I’m going to write about very soon.

The packaging is very simple, I like that it’s comes in a tube and that it comes with sponge applicator (I don’t like applying anything with my finger because my nails are a bit longer). The formula is very nice – it’s quite soft and feels silky under fingers and on skin. It absorbs very quickly. This is a mineral eyeshadow primer, but I use it with all my eyeshadows. They blend easily over it and it makes them last *really* long which is amazing. Another great thing about it is that it doesn’t contain any presevatives, parabens or chemical dyes, but it does contain Vitamin A, C and E.

You can get this eyeshadow primer by ordering it from e.l.f. website (UK) and it costs £3.00 (approx. $5.00). It contains 4.5 g which means it will last for quite a long time because you need the smallest amount for each use. :) It truly recommend this base if you’re looking for something that works, but still budget friendly. :)

Few months ago I purchased e.l.f Cream Eyeliner so I could test it and see if it is anything like the gel liner I have (from Morgana Minerals) but, unfortunately, it’s not even close to gel liner. So, what’s the problem with this cream eyeliner?

e.l.f. Cream Eyeliner is, as it says – cream which means its texture is quite softer than the texture of gel liner which also means that the application is different – not the application it self, the color payoff is different. The thing is, since the texture is softer, the color won’t apply so nicely as it will with gel liner, and since I got it in black shade, it’s something I noticed immediately. The color simply isn’t *black* as it is supposed to be and it is necessary to apply it for few times to get black black color on your eyelid. That wouldn’t be the problem for me at all, just if I didn’t have to wait for the previous layer of color to dry completely. I you don’t wait, as I didn’t, when applying the second layer happens something I really hate – the previous layer gets erased! By applying new layer, the eyeliner brush simple picks any previous color. :/

If you get attracted by its packaging, I won’t blame you because I find the packaging being really nice, as is the price too – 3.50 GBP. Also, you get a decent amount of it – .16 oz / 4.7 g.

The bottom line is – it’s not an expensive product so I don’t consider myself losing a lot of money and if you don’t mind applying layer after layer – you probably will be satisfied. But, I don’t see the point of bothering with this as there is a great product at the same price which is excellent – gel liner! Don’t you think so? :D

Već sam spominjala eyes lips face (u daljnjem tekstu: e.l.f.) na svom blogu, pa bi možda bilo dobro da napišem koji post o ovoj kozmetičkoj marki jer sam sigurna da bi dosta vas bilo zainteresirano za kupovinu samo kada biste znali gdje i kako.

Ne sjećam se točno kako sam otkrila e.l.f., ali znam da je to bilo još 2008. godine kada sam prvi put čula za njihovu američku stranicu – link – i kako mi je dečko taman bio u Americi (US e.l.f. šalje isključivo na US adrese), naručila sam par njihovih proizvoda. Ono što me prvo privuklo k njima je svakako cijena u $ koja je bila zanemariva. Cijena proizvoda im se kretala u cjenovnom rangu od 1.00$ do 3.50$! Sigurno se pitate u čemu je kvaka?

Pa, jednostavno je – nema kvake. Ovu kozmetičku marku osnovao je Scott-Vincent Borba (danas ima svoju liniju proizvoda za njegu kože – BORBA Skin Care) 2004. godine u New Yorku i e.l.f. je bio nešto sasvim novo u svijetu kozmetike. Njihova posebnost leži u tome što su osnivači e.l.f.-a odlučili pružiti kvalitetne proizvode po zaista pristupačnim cijenama. I kada kažem pristupačne cijene onda one to zaista i jesu. U prošlom odlomku spomenula sam kako se cijene US e.l.f.-a kreću do 3.50$, no, cijene UK e.l.f.-a malo su više i cijene proizvoda kreću se od £1.00 do £3.50! Kako god, to je i dalje i više nego pristupačno, a određeni proizvodi koje sam imala prilike isprobati su zaista kvalitetni!

Jednostavno, e.l.f. ne teži tome da ima sjajnu i prekrasnu ambalažu, za oglašavanje koriste isključivo internet kako bi pristupili potencijalnim kupcima + što sami zadovoljni kupci sami šire dobar glas o e.l.f.-u. Sastojke koje koriste su kvalitetni i nisu testirani na životinjama, što je još jedan plus (pogotovo za one koji kupuju isključivo kozmetiku koja nije testirana na životinjama).

e.l.f. trenutno ima 3 linije proizvoda:

• “obična” (linija u bijelom pakiranju, jeftinija linija)
• mineralna (proizvodi mineralne kozmetike, skuplji su od “običnih” proizvoda)
• studio (nešto profesionalna linija i kvalitetnija od “obične”, cijene su također skulje)

Gdje i kako kupiti e.l.f. proizvode?

Nama je dostupna samo jedna on-line stranica putem koje možemo naručiti njihove proizvode, a to je UK e.l.f. stranica – www.eyeslipsface.co.uk. Također, možete ih pratiti na facebook-u – e.l.f. Cosmetics – gdje objavljuju kodove za popust ili besplatnu poštarinu, a uz to, kako biste dobili dodatni popust od £1.50 registrirajte se na njihovim stranicama i ostavite komentar na njihovom blogu nakon čega oni automatski na mail šalju kod za taj popust koji vrijedi 30 dana. Moja preporuka je da iskoristite besplatnu poštarinu i taj popust zajedno. Naručene proizvode ne čekate dugo, mislim kako im treba oko tjedan dana da stignu iz UK.
