Last week, another Croatian beauty blog had a giveaway with essence products so for that opportunity I took photos of my essence collection, and though I didn’t win anything, I’m showing it to you now. It would be a shame not to show it. :D

I think you’ll get the idea about which products I prefer and with time, this collection grew. What does your essence makeup collection looks like?

So, here are few tips on how to organize your makeup stash and where to keep it. Also, if you have any good advice about this stuff – please share!

Let’s start!

Makeup and train cases

Most part of my makeup stash I keep in 2 train cases which I bought for that purposes only. 3 o 4 years ago I purchased my 1st train case, and in 2008 my boyfriend was in the US so he purchased the other train case for me (I actually ordered bunch of stuff online and that was the only way he could bring all that to me :D).

train case #1

this one is actually for keeping my mineral and MAC pigments. In the inner area I keep some foundations and Sapunoteka soaps, but the rest of it is only pigments.

train case #2

this one is for my blushes, mono eye shadows, MAC cosmetics, eyeshadow palettes and foundations. 4 out of 6 “drawers” are full with my blushes, lol. :D


Eye pencils

I found the simplest was how to keep my eye pencils – in a cup or a jar. That’s btw the cheapest was as well. :D Such jars are available from $2.

Makeup brushes

I keep them also in a jar, just like my eye pencils!

Lip glosses and lipsticks

Since I had this problem with losing my lipglosses and lipsticks I decided to keep them in a box. Some time ago I bought 2 boxes – one smaller and one bigger, and the bigger one is the place where I keep my lip glosses and lipsticks. It’s not actually the best way to keep them since I have to go through the whole box if I want to find the lipstick I want, but for now that’s how I keep them.

Nail polishes

Since they have to be kept straight up, I find the best way to keep them in a old shoe box. I just used some paint to paint it and that’s it! For now, they all fit in only one box, I’m not sure what will happen when I purchase even more polishes! :D

Miscellaneous

Here is all that stuff I haven’t sorted out yet or I don’t know where to put it like eye liners, some mono eye shadows, concealers, etc.

Where do you keep your makeup? Do you have any good advice for me? I could use it, you know. :D
