Few weeks ago I purchased this Eveline Cosmetics Silicone Make-Up Base since I’ve read a few positive reviews so I decided to give it a go! There are 2 versions of it: 1st is for dry/sensitive skin and the other is for normal/combination skin which I picked up since that’s how my skin is!

Anyway, it’s silicone based and as all silicone based products this will also give you that smooth and velvet feeling on your skin. I really love that feeling! :D The formula is a bit gel-alike and it might seem like it hasn’t absorbed, but that’s just an “illusion”. It absorbs really fast and you can apply your foundation almost right away! It’s important to use the smallest amount since you don’t need a lot of it.

It comes in a packaging with a pump which I really love cause the obvious hygienic reasons and I can also add that with this pump it’s easily to control your pressure since it won’t push out to much of it. I usually have that problem but not with this product. I also like that it additionally comes in its own sealed box which is a pleasant change. That actually means that there isn’t a way to purchase a product someone opened previously (that’s quite common problem here) and I will write a separate post about that (or I’ll film a video).

I’m very satisfied with this base and I’ve been using it for days now and didn’t have any bad side effects. All my makeup lasts all day long thanks to it and even in this way too warm weather!

It retails for $10 / 7€ and it contains 20 ml / 0.70 fl.oz. of product which is quite plenty. I think this is a great deal since this product is awesome! In case you come across Eveline makeup please check out this base since it’s worth it!

This makeup base has a thick gel texture and it wasn’t looking like something at the beginning but I decided to use it anyway since I got few samples and it would be a shame not to try new products if I have that opportunity. Each sample contains 1 ml / 0.03 fl.oz which was enough for at least 5 uses, which is quite plenty (and I didn’t think it will last that long). I’ve been using it for more than 10 days, every day and I decided to purchase full size once I spend all samples I got. It’s *that* good! :D I was afraid Ill get some not-nice-looking-and-painful-pimples if I used it every day, but that definitely didn’t happen. Instead I discovered this base is light, settles perfectly and it is a perfect base for my skin, that’s for sure. Everything looks just smooth and nice after applying it, and my mineral foundation is applied like heaven above it. I ended really liking how it looks and how it “behaves” on my skin. I haven’t noticed it has any kind of smell.

Beside my mineral foundation lasting longer, I also noticed my blush (essence best friends, now discontinued, of course :( ) looks the same after 10 hours! So, it seems like this is a hit for me and I must get it! :D Not that I couldn’t live without it, but I prefer to have it. :D

It retails for $22 / 16€ and it contains 30 ml of product. It comes in a tube. That really isn’t expensive, it’s actually one of the cheapest makeup bases available here and I think it’s worth every penny. If you get a chance – please try it and let me know how you liked it. :)

Thanks to my dear friend A., recently I tested this makeup base and here is what I think of it. :) Generally speaking, I love Guerlain products and the are my #1 when it comes to awesome packaging, and if I could afford, I’d be all over this brand, not just because of the great design, but because of the high quality this brand offers. I hope I’ll be able to get some stuff from them in the future. But, let’s get back to the makeup base!

As I already mentioned, Guerlain design is amazing, and this makeup base isn’t any different – this product comes in a fancy glassy bottle with a pump which is, first of all, hygienic and secondly, it’s easier for use comparing it to a jar. One pump is enough for the whole face. The bottle contains some kind of pearls which at first look decorative and you could easily be mistaken :D The formula of this base is nice, light, lightly pinkish in color with teeny tiny particles in it. It absorbs quickly and though I haven’t noticed that my skin is any smoother, it feels nice under my fingers and my foundation seattles  well above it and lasts for quite some time. The scent of this base is mild and nice. Remindes me of a body lotion or something like that. :D

Though this product is fantastic and I really liked it, the price is just less fantastic. :D I’m not sure about the price here in Croatia, but I’ve seen that it is sold for $68.00 for 30 ml (1 fl.oz.) on Sephora.com, which is, A LOT! But, that’s the problem with every single Gurlain product – the design and quality gets you, but then the price is really a huge turn off. The amount of it is okay, typical for face primers, and I think it should last some longer time, but still, the price is just a bit steep. I could get Shiseido Smoothing Veil makeup base, which is my THE makeup base, for less money and still get the same amount.

To make the long story short – if you’re into luxurious products with good quality, you might find what you need in this product. But still, try it prior buying it. And well, though I’m satisfied with this product, it won’t get 5/5 just because of the price. But if it weren’t for that – it would be 5/5!
