My perfect grey shade of nail polish! 
I purchased it recently, when my local drugstore BIPA had 30% sale on makeup so I grabbed another So Laque! nail polish since their retail price is a bit high (almost $10!).

I applied 2 coats here and that’s what it takes to get that nice, opaque color on nails. I love the brush too – not too big, nor too small. Just as it should be.

Oh yes, this will be my to-go shade for this Fall! And I have to admit – I can’t wait for this Summer to be over! I’m so tired of this hot weather! It’s just too damn hot out there! How about you?

My last two photos aren’t really perfect, don’t know what happened here but didn’t have time to shoot them again. And I’d say that this shade is a tiny bit darker than it is on my swatches :)

Remember this collection? This is one of my favorite fall nail polish collections this year but I did pick only two shades – Urban-Night and Trendsetter – because lately I’ve been all over nail polishes and have to figure out how to stop buying more of them! But the thing is – I can’t resist once I see some pretty colors! :D

I wanted to get Concrete Catwalk myself but glad I didn’t because the other day at my local drugstore BIPA I got a beautiful Bourjois So Laque! nail polish in  37 Bleu asphalte. But you’ll still get to see swatches of Concrete Catwalk since my friend got it. :)

I think all these 4 shades are perfect fall shades. All besides Trendsetter have cream finish (my favorite finish) while Trendsetter has this shimmer in it.

Urban-Night is definitely my favorite color and I can’t believe I don’t have any similar shade already! Perfect pure purple shade. I think this will be on my nails for the most of this Fall!

Trendsetter is an interesting shade, something I probably wouldn’t have picked myself if I didn’t see it when another friend of mine got it so I figured I must have it since I don’t own any similar shade at all! I think it will look great!

Concrete Catwalk is a lovely grey shade, but Bourjois is prettier to me and I’ll post swatch of it soon. The main difference is – Bourjois have more blue in it than Concrete Catwalk does.

Westside Warrior is a true green warrior shade (army green). It’s very pretty dusty green color. Love it! I’m sorry now that I didn’t get it but I’ll try to borrow it from my friend from time to time, haha :D

Okay, enough talking, let’s get to swatches!

All photos were taken in natural daylight, the last one was taken in direct sunlight which is obvious I think. All nail polishes were swatched in the same order as mentioned on my 1st photo. I used 2 coats for each color.

After I did spend more then I intended with 50′s GIRLS Reloaded collection, I’m going back to my rule ‘one item per LE collection’ so I got only this nail polish from Ballerina Backstage collection. I have to say I really like the packaging of this whole collection – it’s really good in terms of quality, better then the packagin of their products in regular range.

Nail polishes from this collection contain 10 ml, unlike nail polishes from 50′s GIRLS Realoded collection which contain 15 ml.

05 Grand-Plie In Black is basically a pure black shade with orange smaller/finer particles in it. It takes two coats to achieve opaque color on nails and it does apply nicely. Those orange particles come out much more when the nail polish is completely dry. I don’t know how long-lasting is it, we’ll see, but it won’t probably matter cause I believe this collection will be sold out.

I can’t wait to find this collection at eBay, I hope my favorite seller will have it pretty soon! I like the whole collection, but 3 colors in particular and I do guess that few shades will be hit this fall!

This collection is divided into two parts, each contains 6 shades:

• Uptown: CG in the City, Urban-Night, Traffic Jam, City Siren, Brownstone, Street Chic
• Downtown: Skyscraper, Concrete Catwalk, Westside Warrior, Trendsetter, Loft-y Ambitions, Midtown Magic

My friend also compared them in person and she agrees with me that there is some difference between them and the most important one is that Channelesque is perfect for those with yellow undertone, while Below Deck suits perfectly those with pink undertone. :)

I haven’t tried them properly so I’m showing you just a quick swatch fro you to see these colors, though I think you’ve probably already seen them, but it would be a shame not to show them again :D

These nail wheelers aren’t that smooth so the colors looks a bit rough but when applied on nails they do look nice and smooth so don’t let this confuse you. :)

All 3 shades are special and I can’t decide which one to use 1st! :D Which shade is your favorite one? :)

This nail polish is a part of Diamonds Are A Girl’s Collection and it’s been available for some time now, but I think it still perhaps is somewhere (Muller, dm). :)

It’s a hard to capture shade, almost impossible to make it look like something. :D Under indoor light it looks like it’s almost black, but on natural light you can see how actually beautiful it is – purple with lots of silver shimmer! I think this silver shimmer is what makes it to look so dark and why it looks so dull while instead it’s gorgeous – in the sunlight! :D

Application was flawless, I love the formula and it dries really quickly. However, this nail polish has only 7 ml which means the bottle is short and so is the brush so I had some issues of how to hold that cap in my hand. It retails for approx. $5 (€3,40). :)

This is my first dusty blue shade and I must say it’s a gorgeous one. Okay, this definitely isn’t one of those drop-dead shades, but this is unique when it comes to my nail polish collection and I really love how it looks on my nails and how it matches nicely with my skin tone!

Formula of this shade is slightly different than the one of Below Deck. I might even say that Below Deck has slightly better formula – it means that the 1st layer of Firts Mate definitely isn’t enough – you have to apply 2nd one to correct some issues while applying the 1st layer. It’s not really a big deal, it just means you have to apply it more carefully. That’s all. :) It dries pretty quickly, even without a fast drying top coat. And I think it’s quite long-lasting – I’ve washed my dishes several time, took 2 showers and cleaned my toilette and it’s still there! :) It’s definitely something-proof! :D

In my previous post I mentioned that Below Deck is *the* shade at the moment, so, let’s see if there’s actually a reason for that or not. The main reason there is such hype over it is that it’s very close dupe to discontinued shade called Channelesque.

If I had to guess which shade is in which bottle I probably wouldn’t because they look quite identical The only difference is different font/text on the bottles. :D Though, there is a slight difference between these 2 – Channelesque has this strange formula which after some time separates in the bottle (at least a bit of some pigment does) so I always have to  shake it well before each use because if I don’t – color on my nails won’t be equal. But, let’s get back to my photos:

As you can see on the photo, Channelesque bottle looks slightly bigger and that’s because it is – it contains 18,5 ml while Below Deck contains  “only” 14 ml. Not that I would notice that cause I never spent any of my nail polishes. :D

Though they look quite identical in the bottles, on my nails they do look a bit different. I applied one layer of each shade and I noticed how Below Deck is slightly darker than Channelesque. I really prefer how Below Deck looks like on my nails. Also, I don’t know if there is any difference on darker skin tones, but on mine – and I’m NW15/20 for reference – there is some difference and it’s more noticeable in person than on my photos.

I think you can notice how Below Deck has slightly more purple tones in it and how Channelesque is slightly lighter color.

Here’s also one photo taken by the window and I think you can see how Channelesque is lighter though this color isn’t accurate really:

The bottle I have in my hand while taking photos is the one of Below Deck and you can see how more similar it is to Channelesque than to Below Deck. :D But it’s also interesting how different it looks on my nails. :)

When it comes to the formula of these 2 shades, I prefer Below Deck. First, I don’t have to shake it before use, and second, it takes only one layer to get that nice opaque color. Though, Channelesque is closer dupe when applied with two layers.

However, if you already have Channelesque you probably don’t need Below Deck. But, I’m glade I have both shades so I could compare them. :)

Below Deck is definitely *THE* shade when it comes to colors from this collection. It was actually created to “replace” discontinued Channelesque shade ehich I, of course, have :D And well, since I love such colors I decided I must have Below Deck too. Of course, I compared them immediately but I’ll post my comparison in my next post so stay tuned! :)
