And here is my 1st makeup tutorial (I don’t count that eyeliner tutorial)! You’ll notice how the colors aren’t equal on every photo since I used my boyfriends camera which I don’t actually know how to use so I have to learn how it actually works to get decent photos the next time. So please,  I hope you won’t mind that too much. :D

Products I used:

• catrice eyeshadow base
• MAC Shadestick in Penny – link
• 120 eyeshadow palette – link
• catrice pencil eyeliner black
• Rituals Intense Color Eye Pencil – link
• essence long lasting cool breeze eyeliner
• Maybelline Volum’ Express mascara

1. start by applying your eyeshadow base and MAC shadestick over it (if you don’t have MAC shadestick use a jumpo pencil or something like that)

2. in the inner corner of your eye apply shade #1 in combination with shade #2 and blend it out towards the middle part of your lid

3. apply #2 and #3 in the middle and blend it out towards the outer part of your lid

4. apply #4 in the outer part and on the crease and blend it nicely towards the middle part of your eye lid (as you can see, here is the color difference I was talking about :/ )

5. on your lower lash line apply Rituals Intense Color Eye Pencil

6. apply essence cool breeze eyeliner over Rituals Intense Eye Color and make a small peak at the very end of it

7. in the end, apply your black eyeliner on your upper lash line and apply your mascara too (this was taken with flash)

And, that’s it! Hope you liked my tutorial! I know it’s not perfect but I’ll get there as soon as I figure out how my camera works. :D

Recently I asked which tutorials you would like to see on this blog, and mostly you wanted to know how to apply eyeliner (among other stuff, but this was the most mentioned request), so, here’s a simple tutorial about applying eyeliner.

You’ll need:

1. pencil eyeliner – it doesn’t matter which color it is since it’s here only to help you apply gel/liquid eyeliner. It’s only important that it isn’t too soft and that’s not smudging

2. gel liner/liquid eyeliner – I used Morgana Minerals gel liner, but if you don’t have gel liner, you can get any cheap liquid eyeliner that looks like S-he Stylezone liquid eyeliner – link – it’s precise, firm and it’s quite similar to an pencil eyeliner so it will be easier using this one (or any other eyeliner with such applicator)

3. eyeliner brush – if you’re using gel or cream eyeliner

4.  patience :)

What I used:

• BeYu purple pencil eyeliner
• Morgana Minerals gel liner in Venomous – link
• ecotools eyeliner brush

Just one thing: for this tutorial I chose applying medium thick line, but it’s up to you to decide which one do you prefer. My advice to you is – try different lines, thicker, thinner, longer, shorter to see what suits you the best. I prefer medium think and a bit longer line.

1. this is how your eye should look like while you apply eyeliner; with your finger gently pull the outer side of your eye because of easier application

2. use your pencil eyeliner to apply a line just like on the photo (it will help you to apply your eyeliner above it)

3. above (2) apply an eyeliner line

4. in the outer part of your eye, make a small line like on this photo, it’s there to show you where will your peak end

5. and simply connect those two lines

6. color the empty area

7. depending on your preferences, make the line thicker and longer

And, that was it! I don’t think it was so hard, was it? :) And keep in mind – it’s all about practice – if you work out with applying eyeliner I’m sure you’ll be able to make a perfect one in no time!

You’ll need:

1. alcohol
2. glycerol
3. mixing medium – water:glycerol – 3:1
4. empty eyeshadow pans (eBay, Coastal Scents, Stars Makeup Haven)
5. empty eyeshadow palette (e.l.f., Coastal Scents, Stars Makeup Haven)
6. magnetic tape (hobby shop, eBay)
7. empty jar (in which you’ll mix the pigment)
8. something to mix your pigment (I used a paper clip)
9. pigment you want to press (I used Meow Vandal Eyes in Shoplifting)
10. a coin
11. textured cloth (I used organza gift bag)
12. some heavy books

Step-By-Step Tutorial

1. put a small amount of pigment in the empty jar and add few drops of alcohol (you can always add more alcohol/pigment if necessary); add few drops (3-4) of the mixing medium you made

2. after you’ve mixed it (it’s liquid now) you have to pour the mixture into the empty eyeshadow pan and you’ll leave it for at least an hour to dry out; if there’s only powder after you swap it – it’s dry!

3. after the pigment is dry place the textured cloth over the pan and place a coin over it and over all that simply place a heavy book and leave it that way for some time. Here is how my pressed pigments look like:

And, that’s it!

I know my pigments don’t look perfect, but I think they turned out well if you consider this is the 1st time I pressed them! I’m currently waiting an empty palette I ordered of off Stars Makeup Haven and then I’ll press some more pigments! Of course, I’ll take pictures of everything!
